Associate Director –Metis Training to Employment Services

About us: Description: We are a non-profit Indigenous organization focused on servicing clients in the area of education, training and research and are looking for an Associate Director- Metis Training to Employment Services to join our team. The Metis Training to Employment (MTE) program provides training and employment services to Metis individuals at ten service delivery sites as well as serving clients in remote communities through two mobile units.
The Role: The Associate Director (AD) will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of employment and training programs and services across the province of Alberta. The AD will mentor and supervise regional Managers and several head office staff, oversee the management of a multi-million dollar budget and ensure data uploads meet accountability standards.
The AD will work as a member of the senior management team and as such will provide input into the strategic direction of the organization.
To Fit the Role: The AD will have management skills in the area of budgeting and reporting on financial expenditures and in managing, directing, mentoring and supporting the work of staff that serve more than a thousand Metis clients annually. The AD will report to the Director of Operations and will bring a minimum of 3-5 years’ work experience in a position with demonstrated leadership and management responsibility. A post-secondary degree in Business Management, Pubic Administration or related field is required. Extensive experience with Indigenous groups and/or partnerships is an asset.
