Early Learning Coordinator
The Role
Position Status: Full Time, 1 Year Contract with Possibility of Becoming Permanent

The Opportunity
Rupertsland Institute (RLI) is recruiting for an Early Learning Coordinator to work within the Métis Education, Teaching and Learning Department. Reporting to the Senior Director of Métis Education Teaching and Learning, the successful candidate will assist with the development and delivery of Early Learning programs, assist with the coordination of professional development (PD) sessions, participant registration, and social media engagement, and provide administrative support. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, organized, and have strong technical and communication skills. To Fit the Role
Responsibilities:
Professional Development (PD) Support
- Update ongoing contact lists and conduct outreach to engage early learning educators and preschools.
- Assist in supporting participant registration, tracking, communication and logistics for PD’s/Early Learning Education Childcare Training (ELECT) support.
- Oversee logistics for in-person and online PD sessions, including supplies, communications, Zoom set up, and on-site assistance.
- Coordinate conference attendance and presentations for RLI Early Learning staff.
- Represent Early Learning at events, managing booth set up/takedown, and materials.
- Mailouts for participants.
Reporting and Participant Support
- Assist with tracking and course accountability on Michif language/Foundational Knowledge Themes (FKT) courses.
- Provide technical guidance to participants accessing course materials.
Social Media and RECC Room Engagement
- Support the Early Learning Alumni Facebook group by inserting guided content and monitoring and responding to posts and questions.
- Assist with managing Rupertsland Education Community Connections (RECC) Room activities by setting-up cohorts, sharing resources and addressing comments/inquiries.
- Keep the Early Learning team informed of Facebook/RECC Room activities.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate records of participants and sessions.
- Handle scheduling, correspondence, travel claims, and honorariums as necessary.
- Assist with presentation design and updates.
- Reporting, filing, inventory, and data entry support when needed.
General
- Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends for RLI events and other activities, as needed.
- Willingness and ability to travel, as required.
- Other duties as required.
Education and Experience:
- A degree in Education, Indigenous Studies, Early Learning and Child Care (ECE Level 3 preferred), Social Work, Business/Office Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in early learning settings, including coordinating programs and events.
- Teaching experience in early intervention programs, kindergarten, or preschool within childcare centres or community-based programs.
- Experience in professional or educational settings is an asset.

- Ability to coordinate event PD planning and participant outreach.
- Expert digital navigational skills in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint), Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Slides, Classroom), and Canva.
- Technical skills for online session support, including Zoom setup.
