Auto Service Technician Program

Through the entry level Auto Service Technician program, Métis candidates obtain the skills, knowledge and experience required to succeed in the auto industry.

The program includes 16 weeks of training plus a six week work placement/experience in your community (subject to availability).

Métis individuals from across Alberta are welcome to apply for training in Red Deer. Accommodations may be available.

Informal Requirements:

• Mechanical aptitude and interest
• Able to stand for long periods
• Willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

 

Prerequisites:

• Complete pre-screening exam at a level comparable to English 20-2, Math 20-3, and Science 10
• Able to lift and move items weighing up to 25 kg
