If you’re ready to enter your first year of a trade in one of Alberta’s 32 construction and manufacturing Red Seal recognized programs, we can help you find the right apprenticeship program and mentor to support you on your career path. Rupertsland Institute has partnered with Employment and Social Development Canada to support the growth of future tradespeople who self-identify as Indigenous (Métis, First Nations, Inuit) and/or women (gender).
By joining the Apprenticeship Service Program, our team will connect you with a network of employers looking to sponsor apprentices in Alberta. Whether you have an employer in mind or are simply looking to explore your options, Rupertsland Institute will help find an apprenticeship position that works for you.
Who is Eligible to Participate in the Apprenticeship Service Program?
This program is targeting all apprentices, with a special emphasis on identified equity-deserving groups. Rupertsland Institute has been granted approval to administer this program for self-identifying Indigenous (Métis, First Nations, Inuit) and women (gender) from across Alberta.
Applicants must also meet the education and entrance requirements for the desired trade, be legally able to work in Canada, and be ready, willing, and able to enter an apprenticeship agreement.
